The story behind

Based on the Springs scarf design

It takes courage to tackle the great classic, Springs! Dimitri Rybaltchenko knows his classics, as he is the great-nephew of Philippe Ledoux, who created this design in 1974. This connection was behind his bold decision to redesign the scarf in cubic form, creating a mise en abyme of tradition in one fell swoop. Now we just have to reassemble the pieces of this kaleidoscopic puzzle: can you spot the tiny details of Napoleon II’s phaeton? Each ornamental detail of the carriage – the bees, the Grande Croix of the Legion d’Honneur, the imperial seal – has been meticulously drawn just as it appears on the life-sized version conserved at Schönbrunn Palace.
